This Is Denim
When it comes to everyday fashion options, a decent pair of jeans is the number one go to item for comfort, adaptability and durability.
As trends in denim designs are constantly changing, a regular problem for a lot of guys when it comes to shopping for new jeans is finding the right clothing and footwear to compliment and complete the look seamlessly.
With the #ThisIsDenim campaign, Topman are really changing the game when it comes to providing wide selection of quality denim options at more than affordable prices, allowing you to try out different looks whilst evolving your existing wardrobe and effortlessly stand out from the crowd.
To properly test out the new range of denim Topman has to offer, I went in store and chose two cuts of jeans sitting at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the fit and wash, and styled two outfits perfect for Autumn/Winter season.
LOOK ONE: SUPER SKINNY
Denim: Washed Grey Ripped Knee Spray On Skinny Jeans
Topman has a solid reputation for skinny jeans, so it was only right to select and create a look accommodating this style.
These grunge inspired spray on jeans are skin tight and sit low on the waist. If you have thicker thighs but still would like to try something different I would recommend rocking an extended tee as a great layer to complete the look.
These bad boys are so comfortable and I love the wash and the blow out rip detail on both legs. The level of distress is just right where you can maintain a clean look with a bit of edge and don’t feel like you are exposing too much sexy leg.
LOOK TWO: WIDE CROP
To be honest, I was quite hesitant when trying out this look purely because it isn’t something that I am used to however I feel it is extremely important to dare to be different, and I push myself to try out styles and rock them in confidence. Apart from quickly realising I need to hit up the gym and catch up on my leg days, I found these extremely comfortable and it really gave my outfit a quirky edge to it. I would recommend styling these with high cut boots so that the gap isn't too large.
After seeing a wide variety of denim styles at the Topman Design collection at an LCM show earlier this year, it was clear that that denim would be an integral part of AW15 and Topman have nailed it with this collection.
Now that Topman has dropped the #ThisIsDenim collection, I highly recommend trying out the different styles on offer. I challenge you to see how you can transform your existing wardrobe with brand new options in denim available now.
